Looking For Charity Pledge Partners
It’s our goal to find a good half dozen or more amazing businesses (or individuals!) to join our “Charity Pledge Partner” program for our upcoming “Crazy Pineapple” and “Winners Shown” events at Canterbury Park on March 20-22 that benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities–Upper Midwest. We are looking for businesses of any size to agree to pledge a 10% charity match up to $100, 50% match up to $500, or 100% match up to $1000 — or any other dollar amount of your choosing no matter how large or small.
So if you own or happen to be real close to anyone who might have a business that would be a good fit to join our pledge program, please drop us a line by emailing schneids at piftpoker.com or using our Contact Us page.
All businesses or individuals that agree to pledge a donation of any level will be given some free exposure on our website and social media accounts. Additionally, you’ll receive an original copy of the charity receipt so you are the ones benefiting from the charity write-off. Any pledge of any size is a good pledge, so please, if you’re a business person or individual who enjoys playing poker, please consider joining us in our mission of bridging the local community with our fun game of poker in a way that benefits those who need it most.
Last fall, with the awesome help of our Charity Pledge Partners, we delivered $2,472.30 to Second Harvest Heartland. With ~5% of this year’s prize pools going to Ronald McDonald House Charities–Upper Midwest, we’re hoping to eclipse that figure!
PIFT is joining in on the giving as well, by pledging $.40 per entrant into the Saturday March 21st $250 NLHE “Winners Shown” (to help get this event to 5% of the prize pool). As of publishing this on June 8, we have already assembled a couple of businesses and individuals to join in on donating — we hope you’ll consider chipping in as well!
